Em 2006 a vitória foi mais tranquila tendo como unico rival Dan Wheldon. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Se levarmos em conta o retrospecto da Andretti-Green em ovais curtos como Milwaukee as chances de Tony quebrar esse jejum são grandes, porém a Ganassi deve vir forte para essa prova o que pode acabar atrapalhando.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Essa etapa promete, com 27 carros no grid vai ser ação o tempo todo na pista. Analisando a ultima prova poderíamos concluir que sim, porém esse ano foi a única apresentação com brilho que teve até aqui. Aliás alem disso o melhor que conseguiram foi um pequeno lampejo em St Petersburgo após Meira utilizar pneus pra pista seca antes dos demais pilotos e conseguir algumas posições. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Não sei o que esperar da Panther, mas visto que a equipe nos ultimos anos vive de momentos creio que voltarão a andar no pelotão intermediário na próxima prova. Bem que o brasileiro Vitor Meira tentou, e mesmo executando uma linda ultrapassagem dupla sobre Dixon e Carpenter não conseguiu manter a ponta após o ultimo pit-stop e teve de se contentar com o segundo posto.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Em terceiro chegou Marco Andretti que manteve o 3º posto na maior parte da prova, Castroneves ficou com a quarta posição. O baiano Tony Kanaan recebeu o troféu de terceiro colocado do ano, assim como o neozelandês Scott Dixon foi premiado pela segunda posição no campeonato. O recém campeão, Dario Franchitti, e os integrantes da Andretti Green, foram os grande homenageados. Na temporada, o escocês faturou mais de quatro milhões de dólares, sendo um milhão só por ter conseguido o título. Liderados por Kanaan, os companheiros de equipe do escocês, Marco Andretti, Danica Patrick e Jaime Câmara, subiram ao palco e deram um banho de champanhe no piloto.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Após Indianápolis, dei uma tortada na cabeça dele. Agora, tive que variar a surpresa”, brincou o baiano. “Foi um grande ano e ele mereceu esse título. Para coroar, nada melhor do que um banho ao vivo”, emendou Kanaan. O baiano também comentou sobre seu desempenho no ano. “Encerrar o ano com cinco vitórias, sendo que a minha equipe venceu nove das 17 corridas, não tem como não dizer que foi uma boa temporada. Faltou o bicampeonato, mas a gente busca em 2008. Deixa comigo”, completou o brasileiro.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Além dos três primeiros colocados na competição, a Fórmula Indy ainda premiou as respectivas equipes (Andretti Green e Chip Ganassi) e, também, o campeão da Indy Pro Series, o inglês Alex Lloyd.
